Parts of Speech
English words are divided into eight parts of speech: noun, pronoun, verb, adjective, adverb, preposition, conjunction, and interjection.

There are three main tenses—past, present, and future—each with four aspects: simple, continuous, perfect, and perfect continuous.

We use 'a' or 'an' for nonspecific singular nouns and 'the' for specific nouns.

Can/could/may/might/must/should — express ability, permission, advice.
Conditionals

Passive Voice
Subject receives action: be + past participle.
